Difficult Times

As humans we all go through tough times and suffering, in the bible God says that we will go through suffering because the walk with him is not easy.?Difficult times may lead to bullying and affect your family relationships and friendships.Difficult times come to many people which affects students grades and could lead to the destruction of family relationships.
Tony a very smart young student always struggles because of the fighting and arguing that happens at his house which causes him to suffer because of his bad grades for not paying attention. For example, we all have seen that one kid who is always down, his sadness could have came to him with a bad fight at his house or even at school the fact that he is down could affect what he does in his life such as harming himself or even others. In addition, many teenagers overhear their parents fighting, maybe yelling at each other, and the teenager becomes concerned about his family splitting up. This anxiety can then be carried with him to school and affect his concentration in the classroom, his appetite, and even his ability to really function. Therefore, difficult times such as this can affect a person’s life by causing his family to break up or leading to bad grades.Tony goes home and is always messed with by his uncle Steve which effects tony’s attitude during school and causes him to not like his uncle. ?For example, tony would go home every day after school and get messed with by his uncle Steve.Steve is bothering him to just mess with him not expecting tony to get mad.In addition, when you like to mess with your friends watch certain people that you mess with because they might take it more serious than expected. Therefore, some of your friends that you like to mess with don’t care how you mess with them but there are certain people who take it the wrong way.
Tony a struggling high school teenager goes through all sorts many tough times at his house such as parents arguing or someone just messing with him.Tony’s family doing what they do at the house causes tony to fail his grades and be very afraid every day he comes to school.

Cell Phone Effects Essay

Now I know that many people have cell phones, some use them for positive reasons such as the internet and some use them for bad reasons such as prank calls and bullying.I do believe that everyone needs a cell phone, but only to use for good reasons like calling a friend or family member, cell phones were not made to start drama with others.Cell phones have affected many peoples lives by making them anti-social and causing injuries due to texting and driving.
When I was seven years old I would always go outside and played basketball or go hang out with some friends until I got my first cell phone.I was so excited to get one it had games, music, and great knowledge for school, but my family noticed that me and my friends barely ever hung out anymore, I was becoming anti-social.For example when people are at home texting they never want to stop texting which affects their friendships and depending on the situation it can ruin marriage or even family relationships. In addition when a high schooler gets home from school they just want to relax and forget about the horrible, horrible no good very bad day at school which causes them not to wanna go anywhere, if cell phones werent grabbing someone everytime they tried to leave they could be at the movie theaters with some friends or eating out with family.Cell phones are one of the most popular inventions, millions of people own a cell phone but this wonderful invention isn’t so wonderful when you are at a dinner table with your crush but she never looks up at you.
Thousands of people die every year due to texting and driving. They get a text and instead of waiting until their safe at their house they pull their phone out unaware that there’s a red light and Bam!They lose a limb, beak a bone, or sometimes die.Cell phones can cause many people to swerve into a ditch, hit a tree ride off a hill etc…Although many people do text and drive others could be looking for an app or talking to someone on the phone making them lose concentration of the road.Cell phones can also get you in trouble during class such as if you are in a mean teachers class and your friend is on his phone and you go to look up what he/she is watching and you dont pay attention to the lesson that the teacher is teaching.
Therefore phones were made to be used for knowledge and communication with friends or family. Many people tend to use them cheat on tests and homework assignments and others use their cell phones while driving, so remember next time you are driving dont text while driving, you might be in a hospital that night/day.

A Basketball Poem

You might think i’m just

a fifteen year old boy

with brown hair

and brown eyes

But I know I am more

way more than that

not an desk or chair

not a chipmunk or rabbitt

A basketball

an orange bouncy basketball

when i hit the rim and roll out

of the rim for the game winning shot

when I sit out of bounds and cry

listening to the sound of the crowd laugh

I am a basketball popped

not bouncing

my team crying because they

wanted to win the game

But when I air up my basketball becomes bouncy again

getting shot from behind the line

and splash my team wins

I become an scoring basketball

with shots and blocks

surprising everyone with an crossover

I go one way then come back quickly

I’m always bouncing

until I get tired

and then that’s when the game ends

I take a deep breath and start over again

and again

and again

The brown haired, brown eyed boy

is an basketball

an bouncy, leather, orange basketball all in one game

Extracurricular Activities Essay

Lets go get a win boys, No! Terry your not playing until you get your grades up. Mrs. Yoder told me you haven’t turned in your last three assignments. Even though your the best player on the team you will not see the sunshine on the field again until you get your act together son. Extracurricular activities help build respect from there teachers but may also ruin your do to the lack of focus because your exited for the football game, baseball game, or the basketball game later in the day.
Respect, Respect, Respect! Gaining respect is very important for your academic performance. For example if someone gains a lot of respect from there teachers they wont get graded as harshly as those who show up everyday and dream about everything else but the prison we call school.Someone who sits like a tree in class gets graded harshly do to the fact that they don’t care what the teacher says, the lesson goes in one ear and out the other. Extracurricular activities can harm someone because of the lack of focus in class causing them to fail and not even be involved in that activity. For many us we are involved in after school activities and even tho someone is nervous don’t worry about that sport focus on your school work then when your out of school you can start focusing on that activity. In addition if someone shows up everyday with there work done there teachers will respect them for there hard work and enthusiasm at school, But if someone shows up everyday not caring about school, about the teachers, or about their grades they don’t get any respect from anyone except for there friends that feel the same way as them.
Always remember to do you work, do your work, do your work. If someone shows up to school everyday without there work that will ruin there future dramatically and slim the chances of them getting a well paid job. For example Steve was a very hardworking student, he always did his work, came in for help, and skipped his baseball practice just to make sure he passed and made good grades, but poor Eric showed up everyday without his work, he refused to get help and he never passed. That behavior reflected negatively on his future job because instead of becoming a pro baseball player because of his grades he ended up being a plumber, always fixing nasty toxin filled toilets and always getting dirty but Steve worked very hard and is now a pro baseball player with a very successful business. In addition because of the extracurricular activity that Eric was involved in he lacked a lot of focus and failed and if he cared enough he would’ve got help and passed and would have had his dream job of being a pro baseball player like Steve.
Therefore it is very important to always do your work and try and make good grades so you don’t end up like Terry where you can’t play for your team.
